Happy Birthday Mom...

Health... Wealth... and Happiness!

What a beautiful cake!
"Clapping" out her candles...
Uncle Dallas taught us to do this years ago
The Gang's All Here!

Mom's birthday is on the 26th... but we decided that since all of us would be together on Christmas we would "celebrate" then.  Kendra was able to come down and join us after all of her family festivities. Aunt Peggy brought this beautiful cake for mom and Josh had received some Sparkling cider from a friend at work... so let the party begin! We even got out the good crystal... What an amazing family I have... I am so blessed! Happy Birthday Mom!

Christmas Day 2010...

Do we look like a Dallas Cowboy family to you?

Mom, dad and Aunt Peggy were able to come and spend the afternoon and evening with us...we started it off with dinner and then all fled to the basement to watch our beloved Cowboys take on the Cardinals... we thought this would be a win... it was a good game... right down to the end.  Josh, dad and I always wear our jerseys... so Josh pulled out his Marion Barber for Aunt Peggy and Dez Bryant for mom. Aunt Peggy was such a trooper.. she was cheering and getting into the game just like we were... she even took the heat when she (Marion) took off the helmet and cost us a huge penalty!  Thanks mom and Aunt Peggy for letting us watch our boys on Christmas! We thought it might be fun to take some pictures with our Cowboy attire!

Christmas Eve...

Funeral Potatoes... Josh's very favorite!
Yum Yum Salad... it's tradition!
Mom's new Lemon and Cranberry drink... super tasty and pretty too!
 Another Christmas Eve tradition... Ham!
The whole meal... including baked beans and rolls

Mom and dad and Aunt Peggy came and celebrated Christmas Eve with us.  After a super delicious dinner (yes... Josh it was Super D!) we watched 4 Christmases and then played games.  I love our family traditions and I am so happy that Aunt Peggy was able to join us this year too!

Christmas Decorations...

Josh put up the "loopty loops" (that's a Johnson term for sure) and dug out the old trees from under the deck... we haven't used them in 7 years! I never would have thought they would have still worked... but they were beautiful.  My dad made these out of cages and strung green lights on them... they looked really cool with the deer I used to have... the green had come off of the bulbs... other than that... they worked like a charm!  We also decided to see just how "white trash" we could be this year with the old Santa and his Harley blow up decoration.  It worked... not our "normal" style... our choice would have been Dez (our new favorite Dallas Cowboy guy) riding on a large football... maybe next year!

Cowboy Christmas Tree...

Maybe not THIS year...
 Ice cube ornament...
Troy Aikman... check out those blue eyes!
 Tony Romo... love his dimples...
Josh's Precious Moments bulb... his first one!
Silver star...
Emmett... I miss watching him play!
3 Stars... I love the number 3

Here is the 2010 Dallas Cowboy tree.
I have given Josh a new ornament every year since he was a little.

Dad should have been wearing his Cowboy attire!

would might have "skinned" him!
What a cute couple... even after 48 years!

 Josh... just being Josh...
Kendra and her cute Rudi

Last Saturday we all went to the matinee of Voice Male (if you have not had the pleasure of seeing them... make sure you put it on the list of fun Christmas things to do for next year.... they are truly amazing!) then we all went to mom and dads for dinner and to play games.  We introduced Kendra to Christmasary.  She loved it and asked Josh if we could all get together again and play before the holidays were over.  So Sunday worked out perfect for everyone!  Josh and I fixed a delicious (I know... I'm cooking again... skocker!) dinner of Chicken Alfredo, garlic bread and beans!

After dinner we played a game of Christmasary and 20 games of Christmas Bingo... that is why dad has the funny look on his face... it's the "Deer in the... I'm tired of Christmas games look"

Kendra made these cute and scrumptious Reindeer cupcakes for treat time. It was another fun night at the Johnson home!
