 I love their facial expressions...
On December 10th Voice Male came to town... it's been our tradition for several years now! This year we were lucky enough to get front row seats... right at center stage! I had to post the bottom pictures so that you can see their facial expressions and how much fun they have while entertaining! It was another great show and they introduced their new member ~ Rick Murdock. We miss Phil... but Rick did a great job and fits in well the crazy antics that fill the right hand side of the stage.  If you have never seen them in concert... you need to make sure that they are on your Christmas must do list for 2012! You can find them here.

Our Halloween Confetti Cake...
After the Logan High game we raced home to get ready for our Halloween Party.  Josh has decided that he loves soup bowls (and it is a Halloween Party tradition to have them). Mom made her famous Potato Soup.  We played games and then had treat time... my first home made confetti cake... well the cake part was a mix but instead of buying the special cake mix and frosting I had a plain white cake mix and cream cheese frosting in a tub and added a bottle of sprinkles to both the cake batter and for the decorations... I had read about it on Pintrest and decided to try it! It works perfect!

The newest family picture...

Josh and I wanted to throw Kendra a birthday party... then we got to thinking... let's throw a surprise party... she wouldn't think anything about us having a party for her.  Kendra's birthday is on October 14th.. it just happened to be on a Friday... (Logan High football game night) ~ Saturday was with her family... Sunday Josh had to work so we decided that Monday would work perfect.  That was normally the night she and Josh worked on homework.  So on Friday... I sent her a text and Papa and Grandma called her for the birthday wishes. Come Monday I left work early to get the balloons and get everything ready... at 5:15 the call came and she was on her way. We had my mom and dad park in the garage so she wouldn't see their car and get suspicious.  Josh was out messing with my car in the driveway when she arrived.  Mom ~ dad ~ Aunt Peggy and I stood in the hallway waiting for the front door to open... SURPRISE... and she was... mission accomplished!  Steak ~ baked potatoes ~ corn ~ mom and dads homemade rolls and Aunt Peggy brought the apple cider fresh from Zollinger's Fruit Farm (I have to say... it is so delicious!).  Cake ~ ice cream and games completed the night of fun.  Happy Birthday Kendra... I hope you had a wonderful birthday weekend!

Memorial Day...

 Dad - Josh - Duane
Linda - Mom - Aunt Peggy - Me
 Josh and G-ma

This year we decided to head out early on Sunday afternoon and make the rounds. We started in River Heights decorating my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's grave and then off to Aunt Mary to leave her and Uncle Russ yellow flowers (I know he doesn't mind that I always get yellow...it was her favorite color!). While we were decorating, Aunt Peggy and her brother Duane and his wife Linda came to decorate also... we visited for a while and then headed up to the Logan Cemetery to decorate our families together up there... I ended up getting distracted and didn't get a picture of my Grandma and Grandpa Larsen's headstone all decorated. Then it was back to our house for a burger cookout... on the way home the police chief himself pulled Josh over for the tint in his car being too dark... but decided to give him the no seat belt ticket instead! Grrrr... I wasn't belted either... but he didn't give me one... maybe that was because I was so nice to him... lol

Happy Birthday Daddy...

Dad modeling his new fishing hat...and his famous Elvis "lip"...
 Dad and Aunt Peggy
It's tradition for a new polo every birthday...
New games for the gamin' family...
This cake is perfect for my dad... and Elaine too...
We were teasing my mom that this was a "bass" fisherman and dad only fishes for rainbows... I tried to talk her into getting her fingernail polish so I could make it look more like a rainbow... she was having nothing to do with that... I couldn't let it rest so I got out my pink lip gloss and make a few swipes (if you look close you can see the pink on the fishes body). Earlier mom and dad went to the store to pick up a few things for the birthday dinner. Dad headed back to get his cake... he started back to meet mom when he noticed that his cake at Happy Birthday Elaine... so he turned around and went back and asked the girl to please change it to Blaine NOT Elaine. We had sub sandwiches and potato salad (Josh didn't get to pick aha..aha..) and Josh showed us his pictures he had taken on his trip to Texas... dad opened his gifts... we ate cake and it was time for Josh to go to work... it was a pretty short birthday celebration! I hope you know dad how much we love you... and how lucky I am that you are my daddy!
