 I love their facial expressions...
On December 10th Voice Male came to town... it's been our tradition for several years now! This year we were lucky enough to get front row seats... right at center stage! I had to post the bottom pictures so that you can see their facial expressions and how much fun they have while entertaining! It was another great show and they introduced their new member ~ Rick Murdock. We miss Phil... but Rick did a great job and fits in well the crazy antics that fill the right hand side of the stage.  If you have never seen them in concert... you need to make sure that they are on your Christmas must do list for 2012! You can find them here.

Our Halloween Confetti Cake...
After the Logan High game we raced home to get ready for our Halloween Party.  Josh has decided that he loves soup bowls (and it is a Halloween Party tradition to have them). Mom made her famous Potato Soup.  We played games and then had treat time... my first home made confetti cake... well the cake part was a mix but instead of buying the special cake mix and frosting I had a plain white cake mix and cream cheese frosting in a tub and added a bottle of sprinkles to both the cake batter and for the decorations... I had read about it on Pintrest and decided to try it! It works perfect!

Freedom Fire Set-up

The Freedom Fire show being set up...
Like a good boy scout... always be prepared baggies were placed over the top of each of the fireworks to keep them from
getting wet... since rain was in the forecast...
The Diamond Rio Bus...
Me and Dana Williams... what a cutie!
Getting ready to go on stage...
 Dan Truman...
 Jimmy Orlander...
 Marty Roe...

Dana Williams... my favorite!

Diamond Rio is going to be performing at Freedom Fire at the USU Romney Stadium on July 1st. Josh has been working all week getting the fireworks ready for the big show. The boys were hungry and thirsty... so I dropped off some pizza and pop.  Josh showed me the Diamond Rio bus next to where we were standing... then he gave me his "pass" into the stadium and told me to go enjoy... so I did!  I watched the other performers along with the American Festival Chorus and orchestra in rehearsals.  I have to admit... I was in my heaven!  I got to take a picture with Dana Williams and stand about 10 feet away from the stage while Diamond Rio did their sound check for 60 minutes... so much fun... I can't wait for the big show from them tonight along with the awesome fireworks display put on by Fireworks West...

Patriotic Pretzels...

 The production line...
Look who got caught in the white chocolate...
 Dad decorating the sticks...
 Didn't they turn out cute!
 Almost 2 full bags dipped...
Look at these cute bowls I found at Hobby Lobby to put the pretzels in... we did 2 layers of netting going in a "+" and then tied with a cute red polka dot bow... fun and super cute little gifts to give.  I'm thinking Halloween will be next and I can use my favorite color... purple!

 Shocker... another shirt for dad...
Cute pic of mom and dad...
I couldn't decide which one I like better...

Dad still didn't have his appetite back after his battle with pneumonia... but requested to have Turkey steaks along with potatoes and Chocolate Chip Cake for treat time.  After dinner we played Match Play~Add 'Em Up Uno and Garbage and took a couple of family shots on the front porch.  Happy Daddy's Day Dad... and thanks for all you do for our family!

Memorial Day...

 Dad - Josh - Duane
Linda - Mom - Aunt Peggy - Me
 Josh and G-ma

This year we decided to head out early on Sunday afternoon and make the rounds. We started in River Heights decorating my Grandma and Grandpa Johnson's grave and then off to Aunt Mary to leave her and Uncle Russ yellow flowers (I know he doesn't mind that I always get yellow...it was her favorite color!). While we were decorating, Aunt Peggy and her brother Duane and his wife Linda came to decorate also... we visited for a while and then headed up to the Logan Cemetery to decorate our families together up there... I ended up getting distracted and didn't get a picture of my Grandma and Grandpa Larsen's headstone all decorated. Then it was back to our house for a burger cookout... on the way home the police chief himself pulled Josh over for the tint in his car being too dark... but decided to give him the no seat belt ticket instead! Grrrr... I wasn't belted either... but he didn't give me one... maybe that was because I was so nice to him... lol

My mom and her new outfit...
Mom and I and the cake Josh made us...
My sweet boy... the camera hog!
Finally after 5 different shots... we got a good one of us!

Since my birthday is so close to Mother's Day we decided just to make it a simple day with just the 4 of us... Josh and I made Spaghetti along with his awesome garlic bread. We played Uno and Garbage (it's been forever since we played those 2 games) I bought pretty new spring Uno cards and was quickly veto'd to the "normal" ones again! We ate Josh's confetti cake with the pretty spring sprinkles for treat time!
